I was on a call with my bestie Riya while waiting for her at the airport.

"Where are you dummbo, you were supposed to pick me up" I said as soon as receiving the call.

"Where exactly are you right now? I can't see you" Riya asked on the phone.

"Terminal 2 in front of the gate" I answered.

"Ohh hold on I am coming I am coming," she said and cut the phone call.

"Aarohiiii" I heard her screaming my name while running towards me I hugged her.

"Finally you are back "She said getting emotional

"I missed you too my besto. How are you?" I asked.

After some time in the car

"Aarohi I hope uncle aunty doesn't get angry with you" she said in concern.

"They will not I will manage them don't worry" I reassured her.

"But you could have come back after completing your course na? you shouldn't have left it halfway" she asked.

"Rii I told you my brother is more important to me it's his wedding I can't miss it for the world" I said.

"Yeah yeah but his wedding is after a few months" she rolled her eyes

"Well, I can't leave my term in the middle and you know what ?! I will finish my last term here with you" She looked kinda shocked at my words.

"You should be happy I am back and now we'll go to the same college like old times. How fun will it be!!" I said getting excited.

"Yes. Good old times "she said

"Now that your bestie is back you don't need to worry I'll always have your back" I said proudly.

I was standing in front of my house deciding If I should go in or not. My mom is very strict. If she gets to know that I left my course halfway which I fought and cried for to study abroad she's gonna kill me.

Making my mind I went and rang the bell. My heart beats fast. The door opened and there stood my brother In his sweats and t-shirt. He looked like he just took a shower.

At first, he was shocked confused then surprised. He hugged me and I started getting emotional I was seeing my brother after 2 years.

"You are back? How? Why didn't you inform me? Who picked you up? How did you...." he started with his scolding.

"Bhai bhai relax. Let me get in first" I said hugging him back

I and my brother have been close since childhood. He has always been protective of me. He always supported means stood by my side.

We were inseparable till he took over Dad's business 3 years ago. He used to come and meet me a few times but after becoming the CEO he got busy handling the business.

A few weeks back I got to know that he proposed to his long-time girlfriend Sarah and now they are getting married.

They were dating since college only I knew about this. Now both families know about their relationship and decided to get them married.

Now that my brother is getting married he'll have more responsibilities.

So I decided to finish my last semester here and spend some time with my brother before he becomes a married man.

"Come in mom and dad are inside" He said giving me space to enter.

I went inside and saw my mom watching a serial. my dad was nowhere around. She got up and hugged me

"Mera bachha you are back! Aashish come here Arohi is back" My mom and dad used to visit me in between so we have been in touch. I met them a few months back.

My mom sat me down and asked"So how long are you staying?"

"mene toh ise kuch bolna hi chod Diya hai " my mom grumbled while serving us dinner.

"aap dono ne hi isse sir pe cadha rakha hai! Agar mene kuch bola toh bologe ki bolti hai" My dad and brother exchanged looks between themselves while looking at my mother.

(I have stopped saying anything to her now. You two have supported her in everything now if I say anything you guys will say I talk )

"Now, stop it Aakansha, sit down let's eat first," my dad said.

He turned towards me and said "Aaru you could have told us before taking this decision"

"I am sorry Dad" I said looking guilty.

"What's done is done. Let's not talk about this anymore," my brother said.

I could feel my mom saying something under her breath.

"We are gonna have dinner with the Raichand's this weekend" my dad broke the silence."Manoj said their son will be also joining us he's back from his business trip"

"Ohh so we are finally gonna meet him!! Sulekha was talking a lot about him"my mom said getting excited. her mood is now somewhat normal.

"You guys are friends now with the Bhabhi family?!" I asked because my mom and dad called them by their first name.

"Aree I forgot to tell you! Dad and Sarah's dad were in the same school" my brother said.

"Aah yes I know him since school but after that, I lost contact, we met after years," my dad said remembering his old Times.

"Sulekha seemed friendly also, we were talking like old friends, " my mom said.

"It's good you guys are getting along" I said while continuing to eat.

"You should also behave nicely with them. Sarah is such a nice girl and she'll be your sister-in-law soon"My mom was looking at me while saying this.

My brother and I shared eye contact and I said "Sure"

I woke up with a groan. The lights from the window were straight on my face. It was 8 am. I checked my phone for any messages.

I messaged Riya last night to ask her if she'll join me for shopping today. I am starting college next week and today is Tuesday. 2 days after I came back.

I have to buy some books and stationery, But Riya has not answered yet. She hasn't contacted me since I saw her last time.

She was happy after seeing me but when I told her I'll be joining her college She has been acting differently. Anyway I gotta go & get ready.

I went alone for shopping and decided to have my breakfast outside.

I was eating and scrolling through Instagram. After paying the bill when I went outside I saw from afar people were running after some guy.

That guy came straight towards me and collided with me. I fell near me I saw a purse too maybe he was stealing it. But who steals a purse in broad daylight?!

He started running after leaving his purse there because people were running after him.

I was still on the ground so angry because of that guy I fell. I removed my shoes aiming for a headshot and I threw it in great force.

I did score a headshot but it was not that guy!!!!

I stood there still and numb. Regretting my life decisions what in the world I just did?
